The Imitation Game- New Trailer

Dearest reader,

Here’s the new trailer for ‘The Imitation Game’, starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Keira Knightley, Matthew Goode, and Mark Strong. A new movie set during World War II.

Now, I don’t only find the premise amazing, but I also think that this is a killer cast!!!

Sadly I have yet to find someone who will go with me to the cinema to see this potential masterpiece. Apparently, my friends do not think movies based on history and wars are ‘cool’, but I’ll be positive and hope that I will find someone until November.

Now, please enjoy this trailer of a film that seems to have huge potential.

Hope you liked it,

Until next time, many kisses,

Lexi xoxo.

P.S. It seems that we will have many great movies at the end of this year.

Bones!!! Yes!!!

Hey there,

I just wanted to rave about my latest find. Bones. What? Oh no, no, no. I didn’t find some bones, I found the TV series called Bones.

I know that this show is approximately nine years old, but until now I didn’t have the guts to watch it. After I finished watching Castle everybody suggested that I should watch Bones, but I was very uncertain if I would like it, but now I realize that I should have started it sooner because it is perfect.

I have to admit that at times I still find it gruesome. It took me about 5 episodes to get used to it but even now I am squeamish at some moments.

Now, I am at season three and I have watched season two in one and a half days and I am ready to watch some more. By the way, season two is much better than the first one, so if you still have doubts about it, give it time, I promise it gets amazing!

This show, has definitely entered my top 5 favorite tv shows. It is purely genius!!!! I beat myself for not watching it earlier. Basically it has absolutely everything I search in a show.

The characters are amazing. Booth is charming as hell and Brennan a.k.a. Bones is so geeky cute. And obviously you cannot not love Zack, Hodgins and Angela. Also, the chemistry between the characters it is undeniable, a perk that is kind of hard to find in a tv show.

All in all, what I’m trying to say is that all of you should give it a try, because if I can watch it, I’m sure you can too. However, if you already saw it, please let me know what you thought of it, but don’t spoil me, please! I already know a huge spoiler and I hate that I know!!!

This show, seems to have it all! And I am not complaining!

Until next time, keep safe,
Lexi xoxo

Songs that ruined me!

Hey there dear reader,

Today I have another very unplanned blog post, that I have never even thought of writing until now.The idea of writing this post, came to me just today when I was listening to the first song on the list and couldn’t stop hitting repeat.

And for all of our benefits today’s discussion is on a much brighter note than the previous one. Hope you enjoy :)!

1. Jenny Lewis – Just One Of The Guys

I am going to be honest and admit that I first listened to this song because I saw that Kristen Stewart and Anne Hathaway are in the music video. But after watching it a couple of times, I realized that I couldn’t stop listening to it. I do not relate to the lyrics in no kind of way but the rhythm and beat are what stayed with me. It is a very, very catchy song.

2. LORDE – Everybody Wants To Rule The World

This song is another one that when I listen to I keep hitting repeat a lot of times. These lyrics are a bit more relatable than the previous one. I really love the rhythm and  also feeling this one gives me when I play it.

3. Despicable Me Theme Song – Pharrell Williams

This is the funnest song in this top three list. I just stumbled upon it one day and since then I cannot stop listening to it. It is really fun, and I just loooove the way Pharrell sings.

What are your favorite songs that you can’t stop playing over and over again? I would love to hear what you have on your replay lists.

Until next time, stay safe,

Lexi xoxo!

Open Air Cinema ! Yay but nay…

Hello there,

This is another one of those very random posts, that I did not plan to write but this topic just needs to be discussed. Also I am sorry for any immature rambles, whines and childish ideas, but this situation just happened and I decided that there is no better way to get rid of my anger than write about it.

On the 24th of July, an Open Air Cinema is going to come to the city next to me. The movie that I want to go to is called Inside Llewyn Davis. The film stars Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, Justin Timberlake, and John Goodman.

Okay, so far so good. The idea of an Open Air Cinema being 20 minutes away from me blew my mind out. The premise of the movie and the cast is also amazing, and it seems that the movie has a lot of potential. [The picture presents the event from a previous edition].

Though I have never been to such an event, I am very excited about the idea of going, however there is always something that tends to destroy your plans.

My mother decided that if I go with a group of people won’t be safe enough. God!! I hate it when she treats me as if I were 10! It’s not like we won’t manage! I even told her that a friend’s mother will be with us, but she said that no, only if they bring me in front of our house when we arrive. Jesus!!! I understand that parents have to be all cuddly and not let you do stupid stuff, but this is not stupid nor dangerous *sigh*.

I cannot express my anger enough! I am willing to gather a rather large group of people, so we can all enjoy this once a year opportunity and feel more safe than one would by themselves.

Of course, my mom is right on a certain level, but I cannot understand why she won’t even listen to my options.

As a picture-goer this is an opportunity that I don’t get everyday. This festival is at it’s fourth event and it is sadly taking place only once a year. It looks like so much fun and a great way to relax and expand your cultural views.

Sadly, it is very likely that I will not be able to attend this event. If I could convince one of my parents to go with me it would be a piece of cake, but apparently they are busy. It seems that this time, the odds are not in my favor…

Stay safe, until next time,

Lexi xoxox!

Summer On My Mind

Hey there,

I had in mind to write a post about summer but I don’t quite know what, so  I decided to share my summer plans with you. This summer I decided to do a lot of things for myself. I decided to read a lot, to watch a lot of TV shows and to draw a bunch!

Obviously, I will never get to do everything that I want, but on a small part I will manage to accomplish all of my selfish little needs.

My godmother insisted to visit her this summer, but I decided that this being my last summer at home totally free, it won’t work because I want to do what I want, not what others want. And I want FUN! I want to spend my time with my family, to catch up on reading and TV shows that I missed during the school year, all kinds of cool stuff. At least, that is what I think it is cool…

So far, my plans have been going good, the cause of this happening is that the weather is really sh***y so I cannot do anything else other than staying inside. So, since the summer holidays have started, I’ve read 5 and a half books, LOL; have caught up on the shows: Castle and The 100, and I am currently working on The Big Bang Theory; also I have been drawing some bits and pieces.

Drawing seems to be my weak spot. I definitely have to focus a bit more on that seeing that I have to finish a project very soon…can’t show or tell you what yet, but you will see, all in good time 🙂 .

Since summer started I have been iPad-less, which means that I don’t really have time or feel like writing many blog posts, which has also been one of my summer goals. However, tomorrow or on Monday, I will get it back and I will catch up on writing all of my book reviews and other fun blog posts.

So far, this blog post has been all about me. If you have gotten this far, please tell me down below in the comments, what do you want to do this summer? Do you have any goals? Will you have a fun summer filled with adventures, or will you stay at home and read, just like I have been doing? I would sure love to see your little stories 🙂 .

Love you all, stay safe until the next ramble.

Hugs and kisses,

Lexi xoxo!

Book Review: “Etiquette&Espionage”

etiquette-1 I have to admit that this was a cover buy. When I saw this amazing cover I just knew I had to have it! And after I read the summary, I was sold!

The summary promises a great adventure story, which I was totally expecting! I cannot say that I didn’t encounter adventure, it is just that I didn’t quite like how it all happened. In other words, I had a very different image of how this would happen.

Here is the summary after which I will add my overall opinion:

Fourteen-year-old Sophronia is the bane of her mother’s existence. Sophronia is more interested in dismantling clocks and climbing trees than proper etiquette at tea–and god forbid anyone see her atrocious curtsy. Mrs. Temminnick is desperate for her daughter to become a proper lady. She enrolls Sophronia in Mademoiselle Geraldine’s Finishing Academy for Young Ladies of Quality.

But little do Sophronia or her mother know that this is a school where ingenious young girls learn to finish, all right–but it’s a different kind of finishing. Mademoiselle Geraldine’s certainly trains young ladies in the finer arts of dance, dress, and etiquette, but also in the other kinds of finishing: the fine arts of death, diversion, deceit, espionage, and the modern weaponries. Sophronia and her friends are going to have a rousing first year at school.

Now as you can see, there aren’t many words that a non-native English speaker wouldn’t know. However, this book contains TONS of words I did not understand. Sure, a lot of them were names for different mechanisms and stuff like that, but a book that contains this much description, I think it would need some pictures to help the reader imagine the details better. I, for one, had a really hard time imagining half of the things described in the book.

After I read the summary, I thought that I would read a story filled with adventure and action and probably a bit of romance.  And even though my thoughts were very close to the truth, I couldn’t have been more wrong. I disliked this book so much that it took me six months to finish- I would read a chapter every two weeks.

These may be details that steam punk readers might not care for, because they know the words used there. But I, a new reader of the steam punk genre, did not understood half of it and had gigantic problems understanding the other half.

I cannot judge this book as a steam punk reader would. I think the plot was promising and the characters fun, but I had higher expectations of this book.

I agree that it might have been my mistake for buying a book only because it had an interesting summary and a pretty cover and not reading it’s reviews, but I also think that the fault is on the writer’s part as well. I mean, not everyone has read steam punk, but we might want to start the genre with this book, and how do I do that? Cause I need a dictionary near me at all times. It’s not that nice to be frank. I can sadly add that this is a series that I will not complete, probably ever.

Now, maybe some of you might contradict me, which is totally fine because everyone is entitled to an opinion, but I honestly think that a person which has never read steam punk before will find difficulties in finishing this story.

I recommend this novel to every steam punk lover. I can only give Etiquette&Espionage 3 out of 5 stars.

New TV Show- The Flash- Pilot Episode

I was having a chilled night at home, and decided that I wanted to watch something, opening my usual TV Series streaming link, I see that they have the pilot episode for THE FLASH! Of course, the fangirl in me went crazy and loaded it the next second.

If you didn’t know, The Flash is a new TV Series, from the producers of Arrow-another amazing show. Arrow and Flash, were created as Comic books at first, after which they decided to make these TV Series, and with a bit of luck we could get a movie with a lot of these superheroes.  I unfortunately have never read a DC Comic book, or any comic book for that matter. [I believe that out there are animated cartoons with the DC heroes and other movies, but I might be wrong.]

The TV Series is programmed to come out this October. However, they released the pilot episode yesterday for some reason. Not that I am complaining.

From the very beginning I had goose flesh because I was having huge expectations from the show, and I was not let down at all!

The pilot really manages to mess with the viewers mind, in such a way that they know for sure that you just have to come back this October to watch the next episode.

The CGI [computer generated imagery-or special effects] , in my opinion is perfectly realized. I of course, saw probably all the superhero movies recently released by Marvel, so I can say that I can spot bad CGI.

As for the actors, I can only tip my hat to the producers. Every freaking actor is perfect [especially the actor playing the main character] for their role, and it also does not hurt that they are easy on the eyes :D. As a girl, I can confirm that once again, every actor is beautiful.

As far as characters go, they seem to have a good base. And what I mean by that is that they have a good story line behind them. In the first episode we are introduced with Barry Allen’s  past. Well, not much of it, but enough to give us a sense of his past. And also, it shows how he becomes this super human. In the pilot we also are faced with some villains. I want to say something about someone, but that will spoil your view and I will restrain myself, but after I’ve seen the ending, I wanted to yell I KNEW IT! [BTW, with that ending, they will make sure that you come back in October to see why and what is going on- to be honest, I was confused as well.]

Just as Arrow, the plot of the new TV Series The Flash, manages to keep you on the edge of your seat. Of course, for those who read the comic books it might not come as a surprise, but for those “noobs” like me, is very enticing.

Another thing that reminds me of Arrow after watching this episode is the humor. Throughout the episode I found a couple of moments where I could just hear myself laugh out loud. There were not many moments as such, but I really think that the series will have its dose of humor.

Besides the humor, there were also some emotional scenes. I don’t want to give anything away, but I wanted to highlight the fact that this series will not only be fun and action packed, it probably will also be an emotional roller coaster, which is amazing! A series that manages to have so many elements combined, is sure to be a success.

I do not regret spending 47 minutes of my life watching The Flash. It is definitely one of the better choices I made this week. However, I wish October wouldn’t be so far away. But with this pilot, the creators really managed to capture my attention and they made me make a note in my calendar for when the next episode is out. I really think this show will be a hit!

I recommend it to everyone! I mean, if you love an action packed, humorous and also emotional TV Show, this is for you! I knew I would like it even before I even saw this episode, but now, I am sure that everyone that likes to spice their lives with a bit of fantasy will love this series!

Here is the extended trailer for the show [I couldn’t find the short one, but I am sure that you will enjoy this as well]. Enjoy!

I was not paid to make this review. I just saw the pilot and wanted to express my honest opinion on it. I felt the need to mention this, so that my review won’t be taken down for no reason.

Until next time, stay safe,

Lexi xoxo!!!

What’s been going on?

Hello everyone,

How have you all been? It feels like years since I’ve done a blog post. Last month was hectic for me. I just finished another year of high school and I had to get ready for the big final tests and what not, so that didn’t really give me the free time to take care of my blog as well. But hey, I am here now, aren’t I?

Now that the summer vacation is here, I plan on reading more, drawing more and writing more. I will definitely be more active, now that summer is here. You can expect some very cool book and movie reviews, along with some stories about life in general and other little random rambles.

I hope that some people are still around and have stuck with me. Also, I hope I didn’t bore anyone to death with this post. I am sorry if you really do not care about where I have been, but I just wanted to update everyone.

If you are still here and hopefully have gotten this far into this post, PLEASE leave down a comment about what are you excited this summer. Is it a fun trip to somewhere? A reunion with your family and friends? Or probably just lazying around and catching up on your favorite TV shows…I know I am excited for that.

Stay tuned for a ton of fun posts this summer. 😀

Many hugs,

Lexi. xoxo

Book review: “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay”- NO SPOILERS!!!

The month of May has proven to be a very active one for me-reading wise. I rarely can say that I have finished four books in one month. Usually, my reading appetite is not so easily fed because most of the times I find myself in reading slumps that are horrible to get over. But I discovered that once I read a good book, I want to read more and more, it is just too bad that time isn’t so kind to allow me this luxury.

Anyway, I am writing this review exactly after I have finished the third book of The Hunger Games series, Mockingjay, so that the novel is fresh in my mind. As I am used to by now, I will write the review in two parts, one without spoilers and one with them, where I get to hype away. I wanted to post other two reviews before this one but I felt like I couldn’t wait anymore!

Here is the synopsis for the people that haven’t read the third book yet.

My name is Katniss Everdeen. Why am I not dead? I should be dead.

Katniss Everdeen, girl on fire, has survived, even though her home has been destroyed. Gale has escaped. Katniss’s family is safe. Peeta has been captured by the Capitol. District 13 really does exist. There are rebels. There are new leaders. A revolution is unfolding.

It is by design that Katniss was rescued from the arena in the cruel and haunting Quarter Quell, and it is by design that she has long been part of the revolution without knowing it. District 13 has come out of the shadows and is plotting to overthrow the Capitol. Everyone, it seems, has had a hand in the carefully laid plans–except Katniss.

The success of the rebellion hinges on Katniss’s willingness to be a pawn, to accept responsibility for countless lives, and to change the course of the future of Panem. To do this, she must put aside her feelings of anger and distrust. She must become the rebels’ Mockingjay–no matter what the personal cost.

Obviously, I cannot give too much away in this part but I can say that this book was amazing. You can figure that out by the time it took me to finish this book, which was impressively little. I just couldn’t let myself put it down. It is the one book that gripped me the most from the whole series. So I can assure every single one of you that you will enjoy this book. It is by far, my favorite from the whole series.

The writing style hasn’t changed for Suzanne Collins, however I did dislike a very important aspect in her novel. I would like to go into detail about it, but I will in the next part. However, I can say that I thought the ending was too abrupt and I was waiting for some more pages to magically appear in front of me. In this third installment of the series I fell even more in live with the characters and it was really hard for me to say goodbye to them. Collins, didn’t shy away from describing everything to the smallest detail, including the characters and everything related to them.

I am maybe one of the happiest people that the book will be split in two parts so that the directors can get more content in the movies, and maybe resolve my problem with the ending of this extraordinary novel. Also, I cannot wait to see the movies because from what the content of the book holds, I can feel that the movies will be blockbusters without any doubt. The special effects that can and will be used to create these movies will blow up everyone’s mind. Just you wait and see.

I really don’t have enough words to praise this book and series. I cannot do anything else but recommend it to everyone who loves a gripping story that will have you on the edge of your seat from the beginning to the very end.

Without question, I give this book 5 stars out of 5. I would like to give it a gazillion if I could!!!

I really like this part of the reviews more because I can express my feelings a lot more freely and I can get more into details about what I enjoyed the most in the book. Also, I have been taking notes whilst I was reading the book so I remember key moments that really touched me in some ways.
Firstly, it was probably in the first few chapters where Katniss visits District 12. I didn’t think I would be so touched about that, but apparently I got pretty attached to it. Also, right at the beginning Finnick’s and Katniss’s condition. Especially Finnick’s!! I really like his character and reading/imagining him suffering was killing me! Also, the rules in District 13 remind me of what my mother used to tell me about the communism in Romania before 1989. All those strict rules and punishments from District 13 are very accurate with the stories I’ve been told.
Right at the end of part 1 in the book, where Peeta -in a horrible condition- gives a speech with President Snow and he says “District thirteen..dead by morning”, and they beat him up, that was a moment where I thought that he won’t make it out alive!
I liked Finnick right from the beginning. Of course, his looks in the movie helped a lot, but when he told his story in Mockingjay I fell in love. I mean, the poor soul! That crazy mofo Snow sold his body and if Finnick would not accept the person he loved the most would have died. I mean, how can you not love this extraordinary character?
By now we all now in what condition poor Peeta is. And when Coin sends him in the “Star Squad”, I make up my mind about President Coin, she’s a bi***!! When the squad’s commander died, Boggs, I cried. He wasn’t a character from the beginning of the series but he has a huge impact in the last book and he grew on me. Before this point in the book, the story line was pretty easy to follow, but from here on, I had a bit of difficulty to imagine all those pods the Capitol had scattered around and all the locations that were described. This is why I cannot wait for the movies. Until now, the first two books were easy to imagine because I had seen the movies before reading them, but now I did find it kinda difficult to follow.
I knew this moment would arrive. I’ve been spoiled so I wasn’t expecting any tears running down my face, even less them pouring down my face! Finnick was just killed by those freaking huge mutant reptile thingies. I swear that I was so sad about that that I had to take a short break so I could get my emotions back in check.
Like that death wasn’t enough, Prim died as well. This was a real shock to me. I was told about Finnick’s death, but I wouldn’t have thought about Prim’s in a million years!!! I was so shocked that I had to take another break and drink a glass of water to calm myself down.
When the time came for President Snow to die , I was pretty disappointed! I was very, very glad that Katniss decided to kill President Coin as well, but I wish she had put an arrow through Snow as well. When he laughed about Coin being shot, I honestly wanted Katniss to go get another arrow and shoot it through his eye, just how she does when she goes hunting!!! But we don’t always get what we want. *sigh*.
Before the epilogue Katniss wanted to write about her memories, so she wrote about “Lady licking Prim’s cheek. My father‘s laugh. Peeta’s father with the cookies. The color of Finnick’s eyes. What Cinna could do with a length of silk. Boggs reprogramming the Holo. Rue poied on the toes, arms slightly extended, like a bird about to take flight.[…]the photo of Finnick and Annie’s newborn son“. That was such an emotional part. If I hadn’t cried so much at the deaths of Finnick and Prim, I would have had more tears to shed for it. Well, I had some anyway.
I cannot wait to see the movie and see what special effects they will use to make Katniss and Peeta look burned and I just…want to see how they will manage to make them look so torn apart like the book describes them.
When the book ended, like I said before I was expecting some more pages to appear. The epilogue was too abrupt for my taste. It felt like the author was rushing through it. It definitely didn’t feel like an appropriate ending and more like another book will be coming out. In my opinion an epilogue should be longer than two pages. I feel that the readers, or at least I didn’t get enough closure. I have so many questions unanswered and want to know so much about what happened to so many characters such as Effie, Haymitch, Annie and her child, the prep team, Gale’s family and so on.
Also, I wanted to read more about Katniss’s and Peeta’s relationship. I know this wasn’t a romance story per se, but when they finally get together we roughly get a page of them together, which is totally unfair. Besides, their children are honestly described in one line. That’s it….of course I think it is not enough!!!
I am definitely hoping that they will make a better ending in the movies. Because of the decision to brake the movie Mockingjay in two parts, they have more spaces and more possibilities to make a better ending with a proper closure. I am not exaggerating when I say that this novel feels unfinished.
Besides the disappointing ending, I think that this was the best book in the series. Whilst the others took me a week to finish each, I finished Mockingjay in two days-maybe 6 hours if you cut all the breaks and the time I took to sleep. Haha! It felt amazing to read this book before I saw the movie. Even if I’m still a bit confused about the ending, I will be even more excited to see the movie now that I know what to expect. I just hope I won’t be disappointed in the movie as well, as I was with the ending.
As I said before, I recommend this book to everyone!!! Especially people who lived The Hunger Games and Catching fire, and to everyone that loves the dystopian genre!
May the odds be ever in you favor!!!
Many hugs,
Lexi xoxoxoxoxo!!

Book review: “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire”- NO SPOILERS !

Just this instance I have finished the second book of the Hunger Games trilogy, Catching Fire, written by Suzanne Collins, and I couldn’t wait one more day to write a review for this extraordinary novel!

Of course I am too lazy to write a synopsis for the plot again, BUT  I bet that everyone who wants to read this review has seen the movie or read the book, so I don’t really have to worry about that, do I.

Against all odds, Katniss Everdeen has won the annual Hunger Games with fellow district tribute Peeta Mellark. But it was a victory won by defiance of the Capitol and their harsh rules. Katniss and Peeta should be happy. After all, they have just won for themselves and their families a life of safety and plenty. But there are rumors of rebellion among the subjects, and Katniss and Peeta, to their horror, are the faces of that rebellion. The Capitol is angry. The Capitol wants revenge.

That was the synopsis you can get everywhere that does not spoil the adventure you are about to take part of.

I’m really trying to make a decent review for those who haven’t read the book yet, so this spoiler less part won’t have as much detail and hype as the part where I get to release all my thoughts freely.

Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins is definitely one of the best books I have read. Even if  it does not live up to my expectations. What I mean by that? Well…I was expecting the second book to be better than the first one just because the movie was.

I didn’t like this book a lot because of the first hundred pages that dragged on and on and on… I was waiting for them to get already to the games. Of course my heart and mind won’t let me give this book a mark lower than 5 stars out of 5 because the ending was excruciating and beautiful and ah…all my feels!!!

Obviously, Suzanne’s writing remained impeccable. For me it felt like she does have a unique style of writing, but who knows…that’s just what I thought. My only problem with the way she wrote this book was at some points-I will develop my idea in the spoiler part- she rushed the story.

All in all, this second installment of the Hunger Games trilogy must be read by every single one of you!! I wouldn’t be so generous by any means if I didn’t love a book so much! Really, you have to give it a try!!!

I give Hunger Games: Catching Fire 5 out of 5 stars!

Here ends the spoiler less part of my review, if you are interested in what I have to say about some details you are free to keep on reading. 🙂

On this part of my review I won’t explain what I liked and what not. I will just hype about some things I read and ask some questions that left me hanging. It will look more like me taking notes whilst I read, and I did that, but I am explaining a bit more the parts that shocked and confused me the most.

When President Snow announced what would happen at the Quarter Quell, at the 75th Games I was going mad. Obviously, I knew what was going to happen because I saw the movie, but still, the book managed to make me very excited about everything that was going on.

When the reaping took place, I had to read it twice. Here is an instance where I didn’t like that the author rushed the action. I don’t know if these were her intentions to make it rushed so we would feel like Katniss or she rushed the action because she had to much content in the book…Anyways, she definitely gets a minus from me because I wanted to feel the pain and shock the characters went through, but I couldn’t because it was too short and very little described. Phew, this was a long paragraph.

The part where Katniss has to impress the Gamemakers and the sponsors, was hilarious. Well, to me anyway. I’m talking about the bit where she took a dummy and hung it and afterwards wrote Seneca Crane on it. It was funny to me because she was rebelling and still got the highest score along with Peeta that also did something as bad as that.

The moment where Katniss and Finnick fought the orange furred monkeys I remembered what a friend of mine said. She said, that she feels like Catching Fire is just a “filling” between The Hunger Games and Mockingjay. Well, at this part I couldn’t agree more. It started to drag on a bit and I felt like these parts could have been used better to describe others more rather than rush what felt like the important ones.

One of the scenes I wish were in the movie, is the one where Katniss and Finnick apply the ointment that Haymitch sent them and wake up Peeta by scarring him with their faces. I don’t think that scene was in the movie from what I remember but I wish it were. I would have lived to see Finnick a bit more relaxed and laughing, cause damnnnnnn, Sam Claflin is hot as hell!!!

There was a part where I got really confused… Johanna tends to give me that feeling…When she said she got Beetee and Wiress for Katniss. That was the part that confused me but I realized what she meant after that, but she still gives me a weird vibe, even after finishing the first book.

I sported a pretty goosebump skin when Katniss realized that Plutarch showed her the watch beforehand so he could give her a hint about the arena. I swear that was a moment that really touched me!

Again, Johanna manages to confuse me when she does not know how Beetee won the games. Like Katniss said, Johanna did nickname him Volts, how come she didn’t know. What is going on with her? Don’t spoil me people! I hope I will find out in the next book!

When I read about Annie, the girl Finnick loves, I remember that I was spoiled about him. *MOCKINGJAY SPOILER* I know that somehow I found out that he will die in the next book, thankfully I don’t know how, but it still hurts to know that he will be gone :(. *END OF MOCKINGJAY SPOILER*

At the very end, the tears started pouring. When she was picked up in the aircraft and woke up with Beetee before her. Oh my god, my heart started beating wildly! The conversation between her, Finnick, Haymitch and Plutarch managed to touch a soft spot in my heart! And then, when Gale was in the aircraft talking to her and telling her that there isn’t a Twelfth District I lost it. I was reading the last few rows with a blurry vision and it just wasn’t nice.

If you got to this part I want to congratulate you! This was a ramble that I am proud of!

All in all, this book has its ups and downs, and I felt like I should take down from its stars for rushing some important scenes and dragging on some that felt useless, but I won’t just for the fact that it managed to greatly play with my emotions. I really did love this book and I wish everyone would have the chance to read it, just like I had. Once again, I have to thank my dear friend Carol for recommending it to me and obviously for giving me the opportunity to read it . Love you lots, thank you!!!!

Well this was all folks, I hope I didn’t really bore you with my review, but I was really excited about it, as you can clearly see :).  This was a true ramble, if you weren’t sure how a real one looks, this is it. Haha!

Until next time, keep safe!

Much love,

Lexi xoxoxoxoxo! 🙂
